National Right to Life Applauds Final Passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”
WASHINGTON — National Right to Life (NRLC) commends Congress for the final passage of President Donald J. Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act achieved final passage by a vote of 218 to 214.
This sweeping legislative victory includes critical provisions that defund the abortion industry.
The following is a statement from Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life.
We applaud pro-life members in Congress and pro-life leadership, including House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, for keeping their promises to the American people and delivering a bill that prevents taxpayer funds from subsidizing the abortion industry.
For decades, Americans have made it clear that they do not want their tax dollars funding abortion. Today, Congress delivered.
Women deserve compassionate, life-affirming care that upholds the dignity of both the mother and the baby. This legislation sends the message that we can—and should—foster a culture that cherishes both lives.
Founded in 1968, the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), the federation of affiliates in each of the 50 states, is the nation’s oldest and largest grassroots pro-life organization. National Right to Life works through legislation and education to protect innocent human life from abortion, infanticide, assisted suicide, and euthanasia.
