WASHINGTON — National Right to Life congratulated pro-life Senator Darline Graham tonight on winning the Republican special primary runoff for the U.S. Senate.

“South Carolina voters have chosen a strong advocate for mothers and their unborn children,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “Darline Graham understands that every human life is precious and deserving of protection. We congratulate her on this important victory and look forward to working with her to advance protections for vulnerable members of our human family.”

Graham entered the runoff after finishing first in the August 11 special Republican primary. Her victory makes her the Republican nominee in the November 3 special general election.

Tobias continued, “Darline Graham will work to create a culture in which every unborn child is welcomed into life and protected under law. We are proud to stand with her as she moves forward to the general election.”

The National Right to Life Victory Fund and federal South Carolina Citizens for Life PAC (federal SCCL PAC) endorsed Graham in the special election, citing her strong pro-life convictions and commitment to protecting mothers and their unborn children.

“We urge every pro-life voter in South Carolina to support Darline Graham in November,” Tobias said. “Her election will help ensure that South Carolina continues to have a strong pro-life voice in the United States Senate.”
